The final Cortina special edition was the Crusader, a run-out model available as in 1.3-litre, 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre saloon or 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre estates. It arrived a few months before the Sierra was launched and was the best-specified Cortina produced, with over 30,000 sold. This 2.0-litre example was registered in July 1982 and has 77,763 miles showing on its odometer. Its MoT is valid through to September 2024.

The car is reported as running and driving with working brakes and has been upgraded with a five-speed gearbox plus unleaded cylinder head. Paperwork with the Cortina includes the V5C, a large stack of invoices and MoT certificates back to 1985. There's also photographs, a brochure and the book pack with owner's handbook, accessories booklet, dealership guide, and service book (with entries up to 7200 miles in January 1983).
