Part of the Michael Lewis collection of eight vehicles being sold by ACA.
This 1930 Austin Seven was purchased by Mr Lewis in 2010 because of its history, original interior and story. It was dry-stored from 1937 to 1974 and then dry-stored again for the last 10 years. The car was featured in the book Original Austin Seven by Rinsey Mills (a copy of which is in the paperwork file). Due to the car's period of extended inactivity, it has not been started and will require some recommissioning.
The Seven was registered in June 1930. The odometer shows 01207 miles and four registered keepers are shown on the V5C since DVLA computerisation. The last MoT expired in April 2011 after being tested the previous year at an indicated 9974 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Austin is now MoT-exempt.
History with the Austin includes the V5C and V5, Pitman's The Book of the Austin Seven and Eight, a write-up of the history of the car up to around 1988, a registration book and insurance papers from the 1930s, and the original buff logbook plus the Original Austin Seven book.
