1969 JAGUAR 420G MANUAL O/D
This Jaguar 420G with manual overdrive transmission was registered in July 1969 - on the same day that man landed on the moon - and is showing five registered keepers on its V5C. Its odometer shows 68,639 miles and its last MoT expired in January 2018, after being tested the year before at an indicated 68,639 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Jaguar no longer requires annual testing. A letter from specialist English Classic Cars dated October 1991 confirms that the vehicle had been dismantled to a bare shell, then repainted with Glasurit two-pack low bake material, the suspension and brakes overhauled and a reconditioned engine and other components fitted, at a cost of over £17,000. Having not been used for a while, the Jaguar will require some recommissioning; a new SU fuel pump needs fitting with one supplied with the car. In 2017, the SU carburettors were rebuilt. The original jack and tool kit are with the vehicle. The Jaguar features electronic ignition, stainless steel exhaust and power steering.
Paperwork with the Jaguar includes the V5C, original green log book and V5, MoT certificates, assorted invoices, photos of the restoration and owner's handbook, MoTs back to 1976. and some old tax discs.
